    We are currently hiring for a Dining Services Director.   This position is responsible for the overall operation of the Dining Services Department and for meeting or exceeding our hospitality and service standards.

     What does our Dining Services Director do?

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive, professional, and upscale Culinary Services program with the goal of creating positive experiences for all customers.
    • Research, plan, develop, produce and serve menu cycle programs compliant with required Nutritional/Dietary criteria.
    • Participate in the hiring, orientation, evaluations, and disciplinary process of all Dining Services staff.
    • Provide leadership, vision, training and development for staff.
    • Prepare and manage department budget.
    • Visit residents periodically to evaluate food service, such as quality, quantity and appearance; conduct evaluations to make revisions to operations /procedures to promote improved food service.
    • Responsible for adhering to food quality, appearance, and presentation standards.
    • Responsible for hands-on, direct cooking as necessary.

     Schedule:

    • Monday – Friday with some weekend and evening coverage.

    What we're looking for from you:

    • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.  Culinary degree preferred.
    • Experience:  Experience as executive chef or related position in a hospitality setting preferred, previous experience in a senior living community is highly desired.
    • Knowledge: Knowledge of current health and nutrition trends and diets, Knowledge in all areas of local Health Department, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies.
    • License: Must hold current state-required sanitation (Safe Food Handling and/or Certified Food Manager) certification/license
