    Positions Details

    Our Director of Nursing has an around-the-clock responsibility for all resident care services and staffing coverage. This key member of Fred Lind Manor's leadership team works directly with their management peers and Executive Director (ED) to maintain effective teamwork to provide quality resident care. 

     

    We seek fun, upbeat and positive attitudes and fantastic personalities, always willing to go the extra mile. In this role, our Director of Nursing:

     

    • Provides overall leadership, direction and supervision to teams on the floor
    • Participates in nursing team member hiring, training, performance evaluations, corrective and disciplinary action
    • Coordinates and/or complete pre-admission assessments, admission assessment, annual assessment and assessment when there is a change of condition
    • Updates and maintains resident Negotiated Service Plans
    • Works alongside team members to promote a team effort and maintain the highest quality of resident satisfaction and service
    • Ensures daily observation and assessment of each resident
    • Directs and participates in resident’s care to ensure all aspects of the care plan are implented properly
    • Actively supports their nursing staff where assistance is needed
    • Communicates regularly and openly with the ED and other members of leadership on a daily basis
    • Integrates and supports the assessment, planning, and implementation of the admission, transfer and discharge process.
    • Serves as a role model and provides leadership in problem solving among nursing staff
    • Creates and promotes an atmosphere that incorporates our core Values: Integrity, Grace, Repsect, Innovation, Partnership.
    • Maintains a safe environment for residents to call home and team members in which to work
    • Participates in all required reporting and review processes and follows-up with the ED as needed
    • Promotes exceptional communication between the nursing staff, residents and families that demonstrates respect and cooperation.
    • Ensures residents and families have a clear understanding of resident care plans
    • Attends conferences, offsite training events and continuing education programs to maintain current license and upgrades nursing skills and knowledge of current trends and standards in our field
    • Attends weekly meetings
    • Is deeply involved in planning and coordinating company and/or community-sponsored events, activities, celebrations and functions
    • Takes on special projects as needed at the request of the ED

    • Solid knowledge of State and Federal long-term care regulations
    • A natural-born leader with ability to direct and motivate your team
    • An exceptional level competence in the nursing skills and procedures required within the nursing unit
    • Strong assessment skills and experience developing and implementing resident care plans
    • A superb communicator who provides timely follow-ups to questions and concerns and shares pertininent information with need-to-know parties
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
    • Demonstrated organization and time-management skills
    • A compassionate yet firm approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution
    • Strength in building meaningful and effective relationships with residents, families, team members and external partners
    • A current RN license in the State of Washington in good standing
    • Two or more years experience in a long term care setting as a licensed nurse
    • Supervisory experience is preferred!
