    The Timbers, an energetic 55+ Independent Living Senior Apartment Community nestled into a peaceful residential neighborhood in Apple Valley, Minnesota is seeking an experienced, outgoing and passionate leader to join their team as Executive Director

    Positions Details

    The Executive Director is responsible for overall operations and marketing of the community. This team leader provides an appropriate environment for both residents and team members, establishing and maintaining family relations, meeting financial expectations, adhering to corporate policy and procedures, and upholding the community and Transforming Age’s Mission, Vision and Values.


    Some of the essential functions of the Executive Director include the following:


    • Actively participate in and provides leadership to The Timbers' and its team members
    • Supervise directly/indirectly all staff in the community
    • Implement programs and services for residents that are developed in tandem with Regional and Corporate staff members
    • Direct the management team to ensure the success of the community including:
      • Working with residents, family and responsible parties to achieve a high level of satisfaction
      • Maintaining a positive relationship with the professional community
      • Facilitating open communication with staff and peers
      • Maintaining confidentiality of employee and resident records as appropriate
      • Accountable for all areas of operations meeting all financial and budgetary objectives
    • Participate in and be accountable for oversight of all marketing and sales activities and results  
    • Operate the community in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures and ensure the safety and security of residents and team members
    • Responsible for the implementation of OSHA and Safety guidelines
    • Performs other duties as assigned
    • Promote the Mission, Vision, and Values of Transforming Age in all areas of responsibility

    • Knowledge of senior living community development
    • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft Office products
    • Must have proven leadership and administrative skills with a professional demeanor, speaking and writing abilities
    • Ability to understand and administer the financial reporting and requirements of the community
    • Professional attitude, appearance and presence
    • The ability to speak, read and comprehend the English language
    • A bachelor’s degree in a related area of study
    • Minimum of two years of experience working in housing operations, community and/or property management
    • Experience leading and developing teams
