    Positions Details

    The Executive Director is responsible for overall operations of the community consisting of both independent and assisted living beds. The Executive Director provides an appropriate environment for both with residents and team members, establishing and maintaining family relations, meeting financial expectations, adhering to corporate policy and procedures, and upholding the community and Transforming Age’s Mission, Vision and Values.


    Primary Responsibilities


    • Actively participate in and provides leadership to The Rivers and its team members
    • Supervise directly/indirectly all staff in the community
    • Implement programs and services for residents that are developed in tandem with Regional and Corporate staff members
    • Ensure the community is in compliance with regulatory standards 
    • Direct the management team to ensure the success of the community including:
      • Working with residents, family and responsible parties to achieve a high level of satisfaction
      • Maintaining a positive relationship with the professional community
      • Facilitating open communication with staff and peers
      • Maintaining confidentiality of employee and resident records as appropriate
      • Accountable for all areas of operations meeting all financial and budgetary objectives
    • Participate in and be accountable for oversight of all marketing and sales activities and results  
    • Operate the community in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures and ensure the safety and security of residents and team members
    • Responsible for the implementation of OSHA and Safety guidelines
    • Performs other duties as assigned
    • Promote the Mission, Vision, and Values of Transforming Age in all areas of responsibility

    Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities


    • A FUN, outgoing personality, fantastic attitude and caring demeanor
    • Knowledge of senior living community development as well as state and federal laws and regulations applicable to the senior living industry
    • Must have experience working with assisted living and retirement communities as well as and experience with budgets and capital improvement projects
    • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft Office products
    • Must have proven leadership and administrative skills with a professional demeanor, speaking and writing abilities.
    • Ability to understand and administer the financial reporting and requirements of the Community
    • Professional attitude, appearance and presence
    • Must possess current and valid driver’s license consistent with the requirements determined by size of vehicle and laws of the state in which the driver is licensed
    • The ability to speak, read and comprehend the English language


    Education/Equivalent Training & Experience


    • Bachelor’s degree in a related area of study
    • Minimum of two years of experience working in related organizations, and a minimum of three years of management experience
    • Active Nursing Home Administrator license in the state of Minnesota is preferred, but not required
