    We are looking for a Catering and Events Coordinator. This is a full time position with flexible schedule.

    Positions Details

    Works in conjunction with all department heads in terms of room set up needs and event coordination. Handles all room set ups and IT requirements per specified event order. Maintains the venues in terms of cleanliness and has set per standard while not in use. Ensures venues are set correctly and meets event coordinator prior to the event to ascertain satisfaction.


    Here are some of the position responsibilities:

    • Organizes event orders as they are sent to him/her via a monthly shared file folder.
    • Meets weekly with Resident Services Director, Lifestyles Directors and liaison with Facilities Coordinator to review all weekly events as planned, meets with event organizers as needed to ensure rooms are set according to the event order.
    • Maintains all venues in terms of cleanliness and issues work orders as needed for repairs. Rooms are brought back to a standard set up after each event.
    • Maintains inventories of chairs, tables, linen (LVR) and all IT equipment.
    • Must be able to operate all A/V systems and troubleshoot when required.
    • May be asked to offer basic tech assistance to residents and staff.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Position requirements:

    • High School graduate or equivalent, and must be a minimum of eighteen years of age. 
    • Must be able to read, write, and speak English and communicate clearly in speech, and hear and see clearly. 
    • Must have a minimum of one year prior experience and possess maturity to work with senior adults and their daily needs. 
    • Must be computer literate, able to use Microsoft Office. 
    • Must be able and willing to build relationships with the residents and be capable of respecting resident privacy, confidentiality, and property. 
    • Must be able to communicate effectively in English with staff and residents. 
    • Must be able to understand and follow written and verbal instructions and work with standard policy & procedures.
