    We are accepting applications for part-time Activities Assistant to join our team. The schedule is flexible, 20 hours per week.

    Positions Details

    The position is responsible for assisting the Activities Coordinator in providing activities programs and opportunities for residents that promote a level of health, wellbeing, engagement and growth.

     

    Here are some of the server responsibilities:

    • Assists in Planning, scheduling and conducting activities programs that provide physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual opportunities for the residents.
    • Attends community planned functions and coordinates event from beginning to end including setup, running, and breaking down for the event.
    • Assists in the meal time support, helping to assure a homelike atmosphere.
    • Helps plan appropriate programs for holidays and special event
    • Implements the calendar of events as scheduled by the Director/Coordinator.
    • Distributes community newsletter. Meets with new residents to introduce the program.
    • Provides ongoing communication with residents and, as necessary, family members.
    • Assists Director/Coordinator in leadership of wellness program.
    • Maintains a database and prepares reports on resident assessments, participation and satisfaction.
    • Interacts with residents, guests and staff in an atmosphere of hospitality.
    • Protects the privacy of the resident when communication oral and written information.
    • Promote the Vision, Values, and Mission of Parkshore in all areas of responsibility;
    • Other duties as assigned or may be necessary in an organization having overlapping roles and responsibilities.

    Position requirements:

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with staff and external constituents.
    • One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • Food Handlers Permit.
