    We are currently hiring for a full-time Catering and Special Events Coordinator.  This position is responsible for running day-to-day catering operations and services.  Days and hours for this position will be based on need.  

    Positions Details

    Catering Responsibilities:

    • Respond to catering requests and relay information to kitchen and Dining Room Manager.
    • Keep events updated in events boards and calendars and create 10 day function sheet.
    • Create banquet event orders and distribute accordingly.
    • Attend weekly meetings with Lifestyles and F&B.
    • Setup and breakdown events or relay information to management for setup.
    • Ensure internal and external catering services billing and payments are procured in a timely manner.


    Other Responsibilities:


    • Responsible for all lead server responsibilities as needed.
    • Plan floor map, assign sections, and keep reservation book updated.
    • Function as the Resident services contact person during meal periods.
    • Responsible for advanced POS functions: Resident history, point transfers and refunds, etc.
    • Ensure proper completion of opening and closing duties.
    • Assist with orientation and training of new Dining Room personnel.
    • Practice all safety and loss prevention procedures.
    • Maintain or exceed standards of appearance, cleanliness, personal sanitation, and hygiene.
    • Attend all in-services as required.
    • Promote the Vision, Values, and Mission of Transforming Age in all areas of responsibility;
    • Other duties as assigned or may be necessary.


    Required Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:

    • Willingness to work with the elderly in a senior living environment.
    • Effectively communicate with Residents, guests, employees, and supervisors.
    • Must be able to work on all Holidays and for pre-planned special events.
    • Must be able to wait on tables and bus tables as needed.


    Education and/or Equivalent Experience:


    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Ability to follow instructions with a positive attitude.
    • Must have experience in fine dining.
