    We are looking for an extremely talented and experienced Senior Billing Specialist to provide billing services for Medicare, Managed Care, and Skilled Nursing at our corporate office in Bellevue, WA. Transforming Age is a national not-for-profit organization guided by a singular vision to “transform the perception of age”. With over $150 million in revenues, Transforming Age is rapidly expanding nationally. Within the last four years we have grown from serving just 600 seniors across 3 communities in Seattle to over 5,000 seniors amid 15 communities in Washington, Minnesota and Nebraska, and through our not-for-profit home and community based services organization, Full Life Care. 

    Positions Details

    This full time (40 hours per week) role will require a self-starter who is able to easily navigate the world of medical billing with little direct supervision. We are seeking a candidate with direct hands on experience working with Medicare and Managed Care claims in Independent Living, Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing environments.


    Key Responsibilities:


    • Prepare, bill, and follow up on Medicare and Managed Care claims, ensuring timely and proper reimbursement
    • Bill and follow up on secondary claims associated with Medicare and Managed Care primary billing
    • Accounts Receivable aging review, collections and follow-up
    • Coordinating billing with team members and residents at various locations locally and nationally


    Required Education and/or Equivalent Experience:


    • An Associate’s degree in business or related field or equivalent experience
    • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with Medicare/Insurance claims or in a claims processing environment
    • Direct hands on experience with Point-Click-Care or AOD/Matrix software
    • Current knowledge of regulatory requirements as established by CMS
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook.
    • Excellent communications skills; both written and verbal
