The Facilities Director is a key member in driving the continued success of the community. In this role, you will plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the Maintenance and Housekeeping Departments to ensure our community is maintained with hotel-quality standards. You will ensure precision maintenance and safety standards within the building, its systems and grounds. As a member of senior management, you will uphold a professional image, providing a proactive approach to maintaining Skyline through supervision, training and hands-on assistance.

     

    Positions Details

    Are you:

    • A clear, effective communicator, with both customers and team members, and don’t mind the occasional public speaking engagement?
    • Well-versed in the interpretation and implementation of as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and building plans/diagrams?
    • A detailed report writer, able to review charts, graphs, and calculated figures to ensure accuracy and detect errors?
    • A problem-solver who is able to work effectively with colleagues, residents, vendors and the general public to resolve issues and find practical solutions to operational challenges?
    • Tech-savvy with a solid understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite?
    • In possession of a current and valid driver’s license in the state of Washington?
    • Familiar with regulatory compliance requirements for Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing Communities?

    And – do you have:

     

    • A high school diploma? An advanced degree in construction management, engineering or a related field is preferred, but not required.
    • At least seven (7) years’ experience in a Director-level role with responsibility for environmental operations in a health care setting (or similar)?
    • Project management and construction experience, primarily in building renovation and remodeling?
    • HVAC/Electrical/Plumbing expertise?
    • A solid understanding of building codes and safety regulations?
    • A working knowledge of machinery, tools, plumbing, and repair techniques?
    • Experience with electrical systems, phone systems, fire panels, emergency response systems, and disaster preparedness?
    • Exceptional and visionary leadership abilities and experience supervising team members?
