    We are accepting applications for a full-time Maintenance Technician II to join our team. The shift is from 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday. Must be available to work weekends.

    Positions Details

    This position is responsible for providing maintenance services in accordance with policies, procedures and safety and environmental guidelines.

    Principle Responsibilities:

    • Performs routine building maintenance tasks as assigned
    • Understands the inventory/resources of the department and the facility layout
    • Prepares and organizes materials and equipment
    • Cleans and maintains tools and equipment
    • Reports equipment/items to supervisor that need repair immediately
    • Performs custodial tasks such as cleaning carpets/floors, moving furniture as needed or directed
    • Makes notes of any problems found, or residents' comments, and turns them in daily to the supervisor
    • Responds to building emergencies during any time on or off-shift as directed
    • Makes notes and reports promptly when any supplies need ordering
    • Performs daily rounds and check of various safety systems as assigned, including completing related record keeping
    • Relieves at reception desk as requested, and works overtime and/or other shifts as needed
    • Other duties as assigned or may be necessary in an organization having overlapping roles and responsibilities

    Education/Experience/Knowledge/Specialized Training Required:

    • High school diploma or equivalent plus additional specialized training or work experience; boiler license preferred
    • Must be at least 18 years of age
    • Able to read, write, and speak in English
    • Must be able to follow oral and written directions and instruction
    • Must work independently and cooperatively as a member of a team with the desire and ability to solve problems, have initiative, and be willing to work flexible hours
    • Must relate successfully to others with excellent customer service skills
    • Ability to maintain a high degree of cleanliness
    • Must be able to work in different physical positions to complete tasks, while providing a variety of physically demanding, maintenance-related tasks inside and outside of the building
    • Must have good manual dexterity and the ability to work with tools and equipment
