    We are recruiting for a Maintenance Technician III for our community.  

    • Days:  Monday - Friday
    • Hours:  8:00 am - 4:30 pm
    • Status:  Hourly, Full-time 

    Positions Details


    Responsible for providing maintenance services for the Environmental Services Department in accordance with policies, procedures and safety & environmental guidelines.  Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and Department Director, performs assigned maintenance tasks.



    • Perform the day-to-day functions as assigned.
    • Receives instructions, blueprints and work orders for maintenance or facility upgrade projects. Develops working procedures and schedules for the job, material requirements, and other equipment as required
    • Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include, plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc., as directed, in accordance with established procedures.
    • Understands the inventory/resources of the department, and knows the facility layout
    • Prepares and organizes materials and equipment before starting a task
    • Cleans and maintains tools and equipment daily
    • Reports equipment/items to supervisor that need repair immediately
    • Makes notes of any problems found, or resident comments, and turns them in daily to the supervisor
    • Responds to building emergencies during any time on or off-shift as directed by the supervisor
    • Report all incidents/accidents, no matter how minor, to your supervisor immediately.
    • Report equipment malfunctions or breakdowns to your supervisor as soon as possible.
    • Report all unsafe/hazardous conditions, defective equipment, etc., to your supervisor immediately.
    • Makes notes and reports daily when any supplies need ordering
    • Performs daily rounds and check of various systems as assigned, including related record keeping
    • Relieves at reception desk as requested, and works overtime and/or other shifts as needed
    • Promote the Vision, Values and Mission of Skyline at First Hill in all areas of responsibility
    • Other duties as assigned or may be necessary in an organization having overlapping roles and responsibilities



    The Maintenance Technician III is required to troubleshoot, test, maintain and repair all building systems and running machinery including: high rise fire lift safety systems, emergency generator, cooling tower, air conditioning chillers and fans, large kitchen and laundry facilities, and gas boilers.  Strong mechanical, electrical and plumbing skills are essential.  Performs all general maintenance repairs such as:  filter replacements, electric motor repairs and replacement, electrical device and wiring repairs, faucet, shower and toilet repair & replacement, basic carpentry repairs, plumbing and pump repairs, light bulb and fixture replacement, small appliance and janitorial equipment repair, and others as required.


    Capable of responding to building emergencies and conduct one’s self in a professional manner at all times.  Work independently and as a team player with the ability to speak effectively with residents and employees of organization.  Meet deadlines.  Be constantly aware of safety issues and ensure compliance.  General knowledge of applicable standards and regulations with local, state, and fire building codes and laws.  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with staff and external consultants necessary.
