Positions Details

The Marketing and Admissions Manager is responsible for the coordination of admissions to Vashon Community Care Center. 


 Principle Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the admission evaluation of referrals from hospitals and other provider organizations, including initial evaluation of history and physical and clinical information as well as the ongoing updates and documentation leading to an admission
  • Participates alongside the Health Center and Assisted Living team members to insure the resident has a superb experience
  • Creates and maintains an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout Vashon Community Care Center
  • Maintains a strict adherence to Federal, State and local regulations
  • Communicates and works with nursing, administration and billing as needed to receive approval for potential new residents
  • Communicates and coordinates resident needs/services leading up to admission
  • Visits the hospital and builds awareness with providers and discharge planner of what Vashon Community Care has to offer
  • Completes the admission packet and required documentation in a timely manner after admission
  • Creates a positive resident experience that is resident centered, from the referral through the discharge
  • Maintains a working relationship with all members of the management team, as well as all levels of employees
  • Counsels residents and family members with Medicare and other insurance questions when needed
  • Assists with the marketing of the community
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Promotes the Mission, Vision, and Values of Transforming Age in all areas of responsibility
