Positions Details

FT position with a wage based on experience plus full benefits.  Shift is generally day time, 8 hours, 5 days a week.  Individual will also be on-call for evenings/nights every 4th week.  Must be able to communicate in English.  Must be HVAC certified.  Individual selected should have a desire to serve the senior population and be able to work alone or as a team.  Our expectations:  treat every person with respect and dignity; be professional, honest, moral, conscientious, and ethical and want to “do the right thing”.  Prefer a minimum of 2 years experience in general maintenance with a working knowledge of plumbing, small mechanics, electrical work, repair work, etc. with priority being preventative maintenance.    


  • Performs routine building maintenance tasks as assigned
  • Understands the inventory/resources of the department and the facility layout
  • Prepares and organizes materials and equipment
  • Cleans and maintains tools and equipment
  • Reports equipment/items to supervisor that need repair immediately
  • Responds to building emergencies during any time on or off-shift as directed
  • Makes notes and reports promptly when any supplies need ordering
  • Performs daily rounds and check of various safety systems as assigned, including completing related record keeping
  • Other duties as assigned or may be necessary in an organization having overlapping roles and responsibilities

Education and/or Equivalent Experience


  • High school diploma or equivalent plus additional specialized training or work experience
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Able to read, write, and speak in English
  • Must be able to follow oral and written directions and instruction
  • Must work independently and cooperatively as a member of a team with the desire and ability to solve problems, have initiative, and be willing to work flexible hours
  • Must relate successfully to others with excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of cleanliness
  • Must be able to work in different physical positions to complete tasks, while providing a variety of physically demanding, maintenance-related tasks inside and outside of the building
  • Must have good manual dexterity and the ability to work with tools and equipment
  • Must be HVAC certified
