    We are accepting applications for a full-time Maintenance Technician III to join our team. The shift is from 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday. Must be available to work weekends.

    Positions Details

    This position is responsible for providing maintenance services in accordance with policies, procedures and safety and environmental guidelines.

     

    Principle Responsibilities:

    • Perform the day-to-day functions as assigned
    • Receives instructions, blueprints and work orders for maintenance or facility upgrade projects. Develops working procedures and schedules for the job, material requirements, and other equipment as required
    • Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include, plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc., as directed, in accordance with established procedures
    • Understands the inventory/resources of the department, and knows the facility layout
    • Prepares and organizes materials and equipment before starting a task
    • Cleans and maintains tools and equipment daily
    • Reports equipment/items to supervisor that need repair immediately
    • Makes notes of any problems found, or resident comments, and turns them in daily to the supervisor
    • Responds to building emergencies during any time on or off-shift as directed by the supervisor
    • Report all incidents/accidents, no matter how minor, to your supervisor immediately
    • Report equipment malfunctions or breakdowns to your supervisor as soon as possible
    • Report all unsafe/hazardous conditions, defective equipment, etc., to your supervisor immediately
    • Makes notes and reports daily when any supplies need ordering
    • Performs daily rounds and check of various systems as assigned, including related record keeping
    • Relieves at reception desk as requested, and works overtime and/or other shifts as needed
    • Other duties as assigned or may be necessary in an organization having overlapping roles and responsibilities  

    Supervisory Requirements:

    • Under general supervision, mentor the Maintenance Technicians to further their skills and abilities to perform jobs
    • Periodic responsibility for enacting and supervising fire drills and building safety inspections

    Education/Experience/Knowledge/Specialized Training Required:

    • Must be at least eighteen years of age with the ability to read, write and speak English
    • Candidate must have formal training in vocational school or trade apprenticeship program
    • Must have a minimum of 7 years building maintenance work experience
    • Must hold an EPA, boiler and air-conditioning certification
    • Must be able to read and work from blueprints, and be knowledgeable in all construction trades
    • Must be able to follow oral and written directions and instruction
    • Must work independently and cooperatively as a member of a team in a semi-stressful environment, with the desire and ability to solve problems, have initiative, and be willing to work flexible hours, weekends, emergencies and holidays as necessary
    • Must relate successfully to others with excellent customer service skills
    • Ability to maintain a high degree of cleanliness
    • Must be able to work in different physical positions to complete tasks, while providing a variety of physically demanding maintenance-related tasks inside and outside the building
    • Must have good manual dexterity and the ability to work with tools and equipment
