Positions Details

We are in an exciting growth period for both Transforming Age and the senior living industry. We are seeking an experienced Medical Billing Specialist to help us expand our mission. This is a new position and will provide opportunities for growth within our organization. We are looking for someone with an outstanding, positive attitude, and a wealth of experience with Medicare billing.


Our Medical Billing Specialist will be responsible for:


  • Preparing, billing, and following up on Medicare and Managed Care claims, ensuring timely and proper reimbursement
  • Billing and following up on secondary claims associated with Medicare and Managed Care primary billing
  • Accounts Receivable aging review
  • Accounts Receivable collections and follow up
  • Working with team members and residents at various locations locally and nationally
  • Maintaining current knowledge of regulatory requirements as established by CMS
  • Performing other duties as assigned in the normal course of business


Our ideal candidate will have:

  • An expert-level understanding of Independent Living, Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing senior living environments.
  • Experience working with Managed Care, Medicare, and Medicaid in a Skilled Nusing Facility (SNF) setting
  • Experience with Point-Click-Care or AOD/Matrix software is a plus
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience working with Medicare/Insurance claims or in a claims processing environment; associate's degree desired
  • Superior communication skills (both written and verbal)


The salary for this position is between $60,000 and $70,000 (depending on experience and qualifications (DOEQ))
