Overview

We are accepting applications for a part-time kitchen utility worker. The work hours are from 6:30am to 3:00pm or from 3:00pm to 9:00pm.

Positions Details

The position is responsible for various kitchen cleaning and storage activities such as dish and pot washing, general kitchen cleaning, and the storing of food and non-food supplies.  Assist with food preparation and plating when necessary.

 

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for set-up and maintenance of dish and pot washing areas.
  • Responsible for cleaning and storing all pots, dishes, and utensils.
  • Clean production equipment as needed or directed by supervisor.
  • Remove rubbish from building on a regular basis.
  • Maintain or exceed standards of appearance, cleanliness, hygiene, and health standards.
  • Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
  • Practice all safety and loss prevention procedures.
  • Attend all in-services as required.
  • Perform all other reasonable tasks assigned by your supervisor.
  • Promote the Mission, Vision, and Values of Presbyterian Retirement Communities Northwest in all areas of responsibility;
  • Other duties as assigned or may be necessary in an organization having overlapping roles and responsibilities.

 

Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: 

  • Willingness to work with elderly in a senior living environment.
  • Effectively communicate with Residents, guests, employees, and supervisors.
  • Must be able to work all Holidays and for pre-planned special events.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with staff and external constituents.

 

Education and/or Equivalent Experience: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent, but not necessary.
  • Must be able to read and write.
  • Follow instructions with a positive attitude.
